For Salvatore Ferragamo, sustainability is deeply integrated into the Business strategy.

The numerous elements to the sustainability path undertaken by the Group are based on an approach focused on transparency, integrity, and seriousness, with the aim of involving stakeholders in the economic, social, and environmental objectives of the Business. The Group does not simply promote corporate responsibility initiatives but recognizes the value of sustainability as part of its corporate strategy.

As from 2017, the Group adopted a Sustainability Plan, which is updated annually. It aims to create a shared vision of the direction taken at global level and to promote a culture of sustainability that respects, protects and promotes excellence. The plan aims to map the targets as they are achieved, while integrating new challenges for future development.

Thanks to a new holistic definition of sustainability, the activities included in the Plan relate to the priority issues identified by the Group, with particular attention to the sustainability drivers, key aspects on which future strategies will focus.

Salvatore Ferragamo has joined the coalition of global leading companies from the fashion and textile industry formed to set strategic and tangible goals to reduce the environmental impact of the industry across three areas of focus: combating climate change, restoring biodiversity and safeguarding oceans.

SCIENCE BASED TARGETS

In line with the level of decarbonization needed to prevent the most damaging effects of climate change, the Salvatore Ferragamo Group has set science-based targets to reduce greenhouses gas emissions.

With the adoption of the Inclusion Policy, which formalizes the corporate commitment to the promotion and protection of the values of inclusion, equality, and diversity, the Group has launched a global educational path on these important issues.
